Create impact as a Release and Implementation Lead.Join the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand.Your RoleOur Technology and Operations Enterprise Environment and Release Engineering team is looking for a Release & Implementation Lead to join the team.You will play a pivotal role in managing, planning, scheduling, and executing various software releases, ensuring adherence to the IAG Release Framework. Additionally, you will evolve Release Governance and establish a unified approach to Release Management across the Group. Continuous improvement of Release Management processes and identifying opportunities for greater efficiency will also be part of your responsibilities.Your role will include active participation in release scoping, management, and coordination, as well as establishing forward release schedules for different domains. You will maintain visibility of release deliverables and owners across more than 25 services/platforms. Your tasks will involve documentation, reporting, coordination, and delivering presentations to high standards of expertise, utilizing tools like Service Now, Confluence, and JIRA for filtering, reporting, and dashboard creation.This is a full-time permanent role, open for the Sydney location.​About YouWe are looking for a Release and Implementation Lead with experience in negotiating with key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Additionally, we require a strong understanding of Product and Software Life Cycles, encompassing Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid models, as well as the following experience.

• Extensive experience in or working with Change/Release/Project Management roles.
• Proven experience coordinating application releases within complex & dynamic technical environments.
• A strong track record managing and practising Release management within an enterprise environment
• Experience working with Service, Project and documentation Tools - ServiceNOW, Jira, Confluence and similar platforms.
• Managing risk frameworks and business impact analysis, plus reporting on process performance.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting Agile business practises and building Release implementation strategies.
• Proven expertise in establishing release management frameworks from inception.
• Demonstrated capability in coordinating cross-functional, multi-region teams to accomplish tasks.
• Highly regarded experience across DevOps, CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, GitHub Actions, Jenkins), automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl)
• Prior experience and proven ability to automate tasks and workflows for Release Management and Governance
• Preferably experience with compiling, releasing and deploying applications to multiple environments.
• Prepare and manage presentation, workshops, roundtables, and forums engaging senior stakeholders
• Organise dashboards with the visual representation of Release adherence metrics.
• Retrospective of Monthly Integrated Releases and Adherence of Release Framework across Enterprise
• Ensure that within a release all dependencies and associated risks are identified and documented across all changes.
• Cloud know how would be necessary to support, Software as a Service(SaaS) transformations for IAG Enterprise Release Framework, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner preferred
