About The Role
We are seeking an experienced underground coal Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Narrabri Operations. To be successful in this role, you will possesses strong technical and practical knowledge of underground coal mining, in addition to your Practising Certificate- Electrical Engineering Manager- issued by the NSW Resource Regulator.

In return, the successful candidate can choose from the following options based on their circumstances: 

Option 1: FIFO from Wollongong or Newcastle + paid camp accommodation + salary + super + annual bonus.

Option 2: DIDO or Paid Relocation package to become a Resident Employee + salary + super + annual bonus + 9 day fortnight.

What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Supporting external engineering activities in respect of repairs and overhauls where internal resources are not available.
• Assisting the Electrical Engineering Manager and undertaking long and short-term Electrical Engineering planning.
• Ensuring maintenance work is carried out in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Proactively manage costs by conducting regular reconciliations of expenditure
• Assisting with site project work.

What You’ll Bring

To be successful we are looking for the following attributes and experience from you:

• Minimum of 5 years experience working in Underground Coal Mining
• Strong understanding of NSW Coal Mining Regulatory and Statutory Requirements
• Australian Recognised Advanced Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering 
• EEM Practising Certificate issued by the Resource Regulator (open to working towards)
• Strong knowledge and experience in HV, EEHA, PTW and SCADA
