About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, self-drivenSenior Employment Consultant to join our team to work in Nowra.
You will deliver targeted services to jobseekers to actively help them to improve their job readiness and secure them in suitable and sustainable employment.
To be successful in this role you will have
- Understanding of Disability Employment Services or experience within a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport effectively with clients, employers and community organisations..
- Ability to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
- Ensure all placed Jobseekers are supported and contacted regularly
- Ensure compliance requirements are met by maintaining up to date records.
About you
- Be confident and willing to do business development to build relationships with local employers and other related services.
- Be a passionate about placing people with a Disability in employment.
- High level of interpersonal communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to overcome objections, and break down employment barriers that exist for people with a disability.
- Awareness of vulnerabilities to employment and the effects of unemployment.
- Effective, positive problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Willingness to travel to outreach sites through use of your company car.
