About the Role
Workpac are currently looking for a Senior Environment & Community Advisor for a position based in Blackwater. Working on an 8/6 Roster for 6 months with the potential to move to full time. Duties would include compliance with environmental approvals, management plans and other statutory obligations, continual development and improvement of the environmental management system and associated documentation/records. Management of environmental and community/reputational risks. Providing professional advice and support across the business on environment and community matters. Proactive engagement with community and stakeholders. Supporting the environment and community superintendent in the development and delivery of objectives, initiatives and obligations. Assist site management in the delivery of a safe and productive workplace.
Skills/Experience
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with external stakeholders
• Skilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issues
• Well-developed Microsoft office skills
Requirements
• Tertiary Qualifications in Environmental Science, Management or Engineering
• Valid Driver's Licence
• Minimum 5 years's experience in environmental management withing mining, heavy industry or similar role
*Flights could be negotiated for the right candidate from Brisbane
