About You and the Role

We can’t wait for you to join our team as a Senior Environmental Consultant and bring your fresh perspective to the team in this newly created role. This role will give you the opportunity to work on diverse projects including wind, solar, battery storage, pumped hydro and utilities works (transmission and distribution substations, switchyards and lines) for a broad range of clients. This role is a 2 year fixed contract.
The Senior Environmental Consultant will contribute to the delivery of projects for Entura clients including by scoping and delivering environmental impact assessments, environmental approval and development consent documentation, options and due diligence assessments, land use analysis and stakeholder or regulatory engagement. The role also has a focus on providing Environmental and Social Risk and Governance advice.
You have a background in the following areas:
- 5 years’ experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in environmental management, environmental studies, land use planning or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in the field of environmental impact assessment and approvals.
- Some experience in the area of Environmental and Social Risk would be beneficial.
- A knowledge of environmental assessment practice, standards, and guidelines within Tasmania.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills covering operational and design problems.
