AR Developments are seeking a Senior Estimator with experience in Residential Construction.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of at least 3-5 Years experience working in the Residential Construction Industry in a similar role, show initiative, have an enthusiastic attitude, be self-motivated, and show strong commitment and a proven ability to work within a team environment. You must possess good communication skills, be honest, hardworking, reliable, and enjoy working to high standards.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Project cost Assessments and comparisons
- Ensure we have a thorough costs estimate and associated scope of work and materials for our designs and projects
- Effective internal liaison to ensure accurate specification and costings.
- Ensure costing and logistic risks and conflicts are quickly identified, communicated, and mitigated/resolved.
- Grow Relationships and Negotiate with Trades and Suppliers
- Liaise with Engineers and Architects
- Issue Subcontractor orders as required
- Issue Purchase Orders to Suppliers as required
- Follow up Outstanding quotes & plans
- Databuild Catalogue Maintenance
- Support and work closely with internal staff and Supervisors on Site.
In this position, you will work within a medium sized construction and development business, supporting residential & civil construction projects
The successful applicant must:
- Have a minimum of at least 3-5 Years experience working in the Residential Construction in a similar role
- Be experienced in Databuild, On-Site Companion & Bluebeam programs
- Demonstrated ability to document, interpret, and analyse information including plans, schedules, job manuals and procedures, worksheets, and costings
- Have good time management skills with the ability to organise and maintain office documentation
- Be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
- Have a high standard of written and verbal communication skills
- Be committed to a continuous focus on quality.
- Show good attention to detail and strong decision-making ability
- Be able to prioritise and work to a deadline
- Have effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Work well in a team and autonomously
- Be able to align with the core values of respect, reliability, and honesty
- Have a commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture
- Civil estimating would be advantageous.
In this role, you will stand out with your ability to relate to a diverse group of people and develop strong interpersonal relationships whilst using your high-level administrative skills to support the construction team to deliver projects on time and to budget.
