About the role
We are looking for a Senior Event Manager to join our team and take charge of our event planning department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing events, leading teams, and exceeding client expectations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead and manage a team of event planners, coordinators, and support staff.
- Oversee the planning and execution of all events, ensuring they align with client objectives and company standards.
- Develop and implement innovative event concepts and themes.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver customised event solutions.
- Manage event budgets, vendor relationships, and negotiations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the events team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance our offerings.
About you
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, including at least 2 years in a managerial role, demonstrating a proven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of events from conception to completion, along with exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, proficiency in event management software and the Microsoft Office Suite, and a Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
