About the role
Responsibilities include:
- Manage all operational aspects, including promotion and marketing of the services/activities of the Conference Services Team (including the departmental conference centre).
- Lead and manage the activities and workflow of the Conference Services Team and promote a positive team culture within the work group to achieve a harmonious and effective work environment.
- Lead and undertake financial management tasks that include: reporting, invoicing, journal transfers, purchasing, and monitoring cash flows of the relevant cost centres to ensure a high standard is achieved.
- Prepare and manage the Conference Services procurement arrangements including preferred supplier arrangements.
- Liaise and negotiate with conference and accommodation venues, to facilitate the requirements for planned conference/training/meeting activities/sessions.
