About the Role
The Senior Finance Business Partner plays an integral role in leading a team of Finance Business Partners to support the delivery of the annual budget, ten-year financial plan and project portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to use your highly analytical and collaborative skillset to provide financial management advice, reporting and analysis.
This position is best suited to an applicant looking for the next step in their career making the most of their strong Business Partnering skillset, motivate and support a dynamic team and to pursue opportunities to develop and demonstrate their leadership potential.
Duties:
- Mentor and lead a team of Finance Business Partners to provide strategic advice based on financial and operational insights.
- Deliver monthly management reports including identifying actions to improve financial performance.
- Partner with the Enterprise Project Management Office to develop and monitor Council’s ten-year project portfolio.
- Provide expert financial advice to Project Managers, in relation to business cases and project financials.
- Support the development of the annual budget and ten-year financial plan.
- Exercise professional judgement and sound financial advice including timely and meaningful reporting to the Executive, Councillors and the Community
Skills and Experience
- Minimum three years’ experience in a Senior Finance Business Partner (or equivalent) position with demonstrated team leader experience.
- Professional membership to CPA Australia of the Institute of Charted Accountants of Australia (or similar).
- Tertiary qualifications in a finance related discipline (essential).
