Be a key contact and play a pivotal role in assisting leaders to make informed financial decisions, manage risks, prepare forecasts, budgets and medium-term plans to meet business requirements and align with the functions strategic initiatives.
The incumbent will act as a trusted advisor and build strong governance and provide insights and guidance; identify opportunities to improve financial results, financial processes and systems and stay updated on industry trends, best practices and regulatory changes.
Responsibilities:
Business Partnering
Lead the development of partnering relationship with business/support functions management team and with stakeholders.
Decision Support
Provide analysis, data and insights and provide support to drive the business functions to achieve their financial objectives and decision making.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Lead the annual budgets, medium term plan and forecasting process for business/support functions to produce an outcome that conforms to business requirements and sets appropriate targets and objectives for business functions
Lead the annual ANZ corporate allocation process
Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
Strategic Planning
Partner with leaders to align financial strategies with the overall business strategy.
Develop financial models and scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
Assess the financial impact of different strategic options and provide recommendations.
Month end close and reporting
Support month end close (together with accounting teams) for your business functions ensuring accuracy of and timeliness of the close.
Prepare, present reports to senior management and other stakeholders
Ensure reports are accurate, timely and compliant with reporting requirements
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems and deliver operational efficiencies.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and regulatory changes.
Communication & Presentation
Effectively communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leaders in a clear and concise manner.
Prepare, present reports to senior management and other stakeholders
Ensure reports are accurate, timely and compliant with reporting requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
· Minimum 10 years' experience relevant to the requirements of the role
· Highly experienced in the preparation of insights and reporting.
· Worked in a project environment and/or a changing environment.
· Experienced with using management reporting and planning /forecasting system software
· Strong problem solving and analytical abilities - interpret data and present relevant and meaningful analysis.
· Computer skills comensurate with the requirements of the role eg Advanced Excel, Powerpoint, Word
