AddressMARS Recruitment is partnering with an investment management firm in search of an experienced and driven Senior Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. The primary duties of this position encompass month-end closing, management reporting, preparation of financial statements, year-end statutory reporting, tax compliance, ASIC and ASX listed reporting, and supporting budget and forecast processes.
This position is designed for a driven and detail-oriented individual who is looking for a challenging and diverse role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial reporting and management reporting, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of month-end close.
- Prepare monthly management reports and board reports.
- Assist with ASX listed reporting requirements on a regular basis
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.
- Partner with business units to provide insightful analysis of financial performance.
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Support funding, cash flow planning, and tax funding activities.
- Ensure compliance with all tax requirements and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and implement new ones.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.
Criteria:
- 6+ years of experience in a financial accounting role
- Background in Financial Services with investment management desirable
- CA/CPA/ACCA qualified
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Experience in ASX-listed reporting an advantage
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
