About the role
You will support the delivery of all ASX and Statutory Reporting requirements and the external audit for both the Ampol Group and its subsidiaries. Provide technical accounting support and research to the group and its business units.
This is a permanent opportunity in the Group Finance, based at Alexandria, in purpose built offices with great technology and collaboration spaces.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of half year and full year reporting requirements for the Group
- Preparation and review of subsidiary financial statements
- Preparation of full year reporting requirements relating to Group Compliance and Solvency
- Assist in preparation of Audit Committee and Board papers
- Assist in providing technical accounting support to the business
- Preparation of technical accounting papers to document and support group accounting positions
- Develop and drive continuous improvement in the accounting and reporting process
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
About you:
You are a Chartered Accountant and bring a couple of years post qualification experience ideally from a Big 4 Accounting background or similar field. You understand financial reporting in a public company environment (either through direct experience or audit) and have a strong interest in technical accounting.
Skills and experience:
- Experience in a similar and/or working with auditors
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous SAP and Onestream experience is highly advantageous
- Solid ability to analyse, understand and solve problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
