The Role:

Having a high level of business and commercial acumen with the ability to read, interrogate and interpret cash, cost, WIP and revenue project position with a sound understanding of production controls will be essential to your success.

- Take responsibility for the financial management of the Group including balance sheet, capital allocation and efficiency;
- Strong understanding of Project Accounting, with a sound knowledge of Earned Value and WIP.
- Review & advise on risks/mitigation relating to building contracts;
- Commercially resolve legal disputes;
- Review and advise on lease agreements and maintain the Group’s AASB 16 Lease Accounting schedules
- Subsidiary equity changes and maintenance of legal documentation/statutory records;
- Business Partners’ quarterly dividend calculations and payments; and
- Be the relationship manager and key point of contact between individual Business Partners (Operational Managers) and the Accounting & Finance Team
- Lead project cost management, control and reporting; and
Financial Reporting
In collaboration with the Team, lead and take responsibility for the internal financial reporting of assigned Business Units including:
- Review & take responsibility for assigned Business Units’ accounting ledgers;
- Accuracy & review of assigned Business Units’ monthly management accounts;
- Review of monthly Group accounting consolidation;
- Liaise with auditors and other external stakeholders as required; and
- Project manage and be accountable for the financial integration of acquisitions.
- Take an active/lead role in the collation of JLG Board packs in collaboration with the broader team and EGM’s – this will include extensive financial analysis and preparation of presentation materials; and
- Take an active/lead role in financial planning including the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasting – this involves working extensively with Business Partners (Operational Managers) to provide support, advice and guidance as required.
- Take an active/lead role in ensuring JLG’s compliance with ASIC requirements, licensing (building and other) and general commercial and financial compliance matters; and
- Undertake periodic systems & control reviews to check and ensure compliance and recommend changes to effect optimal commercial outcomes.
- Demonstrated track record of relevant professional finance experience
- The highest level of computer literacy with excellent financial analysis and modeling skills
- Accounting qualification or equivalent
