Who we're looking for:Our Global Finance team are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join them for a 12-month contract, working out of our Sydney Head Office. This role will be integral in providing both technical and financial accounting and reporting expertise across 4 global locations of the Multiplex business. Above all, they will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reports to our parent entity, Brookfield Corporation.
Key responsibilities will include:- Ownership of quarterly financial reporting for Multiplex Global, ensuring compliance with IFRS
- Responsible for all statutory financial statements on an annual and semi-annual basis (Corps Act and Company Act compliance).
- Covenant reporting for the Global Group.
- All Global IFRS 16 lease register and processes.
- Input into the general ledger balance sheet reviews for corporate entities.
- Involvement in the design, development and testing of a new consolidation system.
- Mentoring and coaching more junior members of the team.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant, with exceptional skills and accuracy across financial reporting, financial statement preparation, consolidation, and time management with a focus on deadline delivery and attention to detail. They will also have had experience supporting a global organisation (construction industry advantageous), prior experience of financial ERP systems, and be knowledgeable in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).A note on diversity:We invite applications from people of all genders, cultures and walks of life.
