MARS Recruitment has partnered with an established Telco company in search of a Senior Group Accountant to join their vibrant team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate reporting for consolidated group accounting and statutory financial reporting. Additionally, you will assist in managing audits, external reporting, cash flow reporting, balance sheet analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. The position also involves contributing to analysis and internal management reporting to support the company's organic and M&A growth strategy.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and precise consolidation of Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of group balance sheets and oversee the consolidation process.
- Aid in the completion of semi-annual and annual external audits.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly accounts and reports to the Board.
- Provide in-depth variance analysis, annual financial statements, and reports.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, monthly Board reporting, and ad hoc analyses.
- Manage effective relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors and tax advisors.
- Prepare and assist in the timely reporting of ASX & ASIC requirements, including financial reporting.
- Support M&A activities with relevant analysis and accounting entries.
- Assist in meeting covenant and financial reporting obligations for external finance facilities.
- Aid in tax compliance activities, including stub returns and group tax filings.
- Fulfill audit documentation requests accurately and promptly.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance within a commercial environment
- ASX-listed reporting is required for this role
- Experience in group reporting and consolidation is essential for this position
- CA/CPA qualified (or international equivalent)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Energetic, astute, and motivated
