About the Role:
As the Senior Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the culinary reputation of our classic pub. We are looking for an individual with a strong culinary background, leadership skills, and a keen understanding of rostering and cost control. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Chef ready to take the next step in their career, with plenty of support and a great work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food production and presentation.
- Develop and update menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a cohesive and efficient team.
- Implement and maintain effective rostering to optimise staffing levels and control labour costs.
- Monitor and control food costs, implementing strategies to maximise profitability while maintaining quality.
- Collaborate with the management team to enhance overall dining experiences and contribute to the success of the pub.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Senior Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-driven establishment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proficient in menu development, food costing, and kitchen management.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of industry trends, culinary techniques, and a passion for classic pub cuisine.
