ABOUT THE COMPANY
As a global business with offices across the eastern seaboard and the MEL team based in Tullamarine, our client delivers freight forwarding solutions through real-time status updates and reports, ensuring clear and detailed shipment transparency.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client wants to add an experienced Senior Import Operator to their MEL team. With a focus on Ocean (supporting Air), the position will be responsible for all operations, including dealing with customers. Experience managing all aspects of Import operations within freight forwarding is imperative. The successful candidate can move into a leadership position once settled.
DUTIES
• Coordinate and monitor order management from origin through to POD/Invoicing
• Single point of contact for clients
• Ensure SOPs are implemented and followed by internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work with CW1 in a paperless environment
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years in an Import Operations position, Seafreight preferred
• Exposure to operating on CW1
• Demonstrated ability to book transport, cost, invoice, and provide status updates
• Previous experience working with customers, building relationships ideal
