This is a fixed term vacancy available for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension subject to business requirements.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Intelligence Officer is responsible for overseeing the proactive planning and execution of intelligence operations across the custodial estate. The Senior Intelligence Officer works closely with the Senior Intelligence Analyst to ensure the provision of information requirements for the Collection Branch address key information gaps for the Analysis Branch.
The Senior Intelligence Officer works with the Principal Intelligence Officer to ensure the proactive collection of intelligence and information from a range of resources and will review new technologies and contemporary intelligence collection methods.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a challenge to:
- Oversee the planning and execution of complex intelligence operations in a custodial environment, including the development of collection and operational plans.
- Provide advice and guidance to Field Intelligence Officers, and other Collection Branch staff, and oversees the provision of relevant intelligence information for analysis and dissemination purposes.
- Compile and disseminate Collection Branch intelligence product at a strategic and tactical level for internal and external stakeholders.

ELIGIBILITY
- It is a requirement that the position holder is successful in obtaining a NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL ONE security clearance as a condition of employment and maintaining the clearance for the duration of their appointment in the position. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to hold the NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL ONE security clearance.
- The position holder may be required to work outside of normal hours for operational purposes.
- The position holder may be required to travel within Western Australia for operational purposes.
- It is a requirement of the position to hold a current Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence.
Subsequent Vacancies
