Our opportunity
We have a new opportunity for a Senior Interior Designer to join our Sydney Team. You will be responsible for the interior design and documentation on projects in conjunction with the Project Architect build relationships and be committed to ensuring resident satisfaction, whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience for the community
Your responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Lead the development of new innovative ideas for inclusion in future projects
- Direct and oversee work undertaken by team
- Responsible for the interior design and documentation on projects in conjunction with the Project Architect/ Coordinator
- Compile the interior design brief in conjunction with the Project Delivery team and oversee its integration into the overall project brief
- Assist with and contribute to the design of internal layouts
- Ensure all finishes schemes are checked and reviewed by Mirvac Design
- Assist the Project Architect in reviewing and preparing interior design related specifications required for tender
- Implement and monitor QMS
- Assist the Project Architect in ensuring that the design complies with all Mirvac fitness-for-purpose standards
- Ensure all documentation approvals and sign off
- Act as a role model taking ownership of all tasks
- Coordinate appropriately with suppliers and sub-contractors
- Ensure all S&M material is consistent with documented finishes and fittings
- Carry out sufficient site inspections to ensure design intent is met
- Prepare and monitor interior design team programs and drawing schedules to meet building construction programs and tender package requirements as guided
- Monitor and ensure agreed Interior Design project resource budgets are met in conjunction with the Senior Interior Designer
- Monitor and ensure agreed interior design construction budgets are met in conjunction with the Cost Planner
You will have solid experience in the Design/ Architecture/ Property Development industry, expertise in using design software and knowledge & management of CAD/BIM standards
Solid knowledge of design regulations, financial acumen in working with budgets and documentation and archiving management experience is highly regarded.
Finally you will have exceptional creativity, communication and influencing skills as well as the ability to work well in a team.
