- Lead and support Team Leaders, and staff from the Intelligence Group and Ethical Standards Group to work cooperatively in undertaking a multi-disciplinary team approach to the investigation of misconduct or corrupt conduct matters over a diverse work environment in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Mentor, coach and provide specialist advice to Investigators on investigative practices required to ensure that the team undertakes investigations in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Contribute to, drive and maintain a positive and productive workplace culture that focuses on ethics and accountability.
- Promote and nurture a team culture that has good morale, values diversity and shares knowledge and experience through informal and formal coaching and mentoring techniques.
- Maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to demonstrate continuing high level and contemporary performance by actively participating in professional development opportunities.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned.
- Consult with relevant stakeholders and develop the investigation plan for complex cases within the Agency.
- Determine the nature and specificity of the allegations and collect, manage and record all evidence (including physical, documentary and verbal).
- Oversee and undertake interviews with witnesses and subject officer(s) regarding allegations of misconduct or corrupt conduct made against Agency staff.
- Assess evidence gathered during the investigation and determine any further lines of enquiry.
- Prepare investigation reports documenting the investigation and provide an assessment of the facts, including whether the allegation has been substantiated and make recommendations to the decision maker on appropriate management action.
- Maintain currency with relevant legislation and policy changes
- Record all expenses.
