This is a 12 month contract to cover parental leave.
We have an excellent opportunity to join our investment operations team and support the trade lifecycle of our internally managed portfolios. The position can be tailored for either Analyst or Senior Analyst level so applications are encouraged from both.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our internal trading (Aussie Equities and Fixed Income) from the daily preparation of start of day positions through facilitating trade and related activities such as monitoring via our third-party middle office provider and into the accounting book of records.
You will be a key contact for the internal portfolio management team and will liaise with the internal data management team, brokers and outsourced providers for capital markets transactions, corporate actions, derivatives and margining. If you are a Senior Analyst, the role will also include supervising team members and helping to monitor and guide the day’s activity.
About You
To be successful in this role you will be someone who has a ‘can-do’ attitude and enjoy working as part of a dynamic and outcome driven team, have a high attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ideally, you will have experience in an investment operations role within a fund manager, superannuation, or custodian environment. To be considered for a Senior Analyst position, you will have a good understanding and working knowledge of custody processes, financial instruments such as equities and fixed income, superannuation structures and guiding fellow team members.
Due to the requirements of the role, the successful candidate will need to be flexible with their working hours and will likely be required to start work by 8am.
