We are a major player in the Life & Health reinsurance market in Australia and New Zealand and we have the benefit of being small and nimble but with the financial backing of one of the largest reinsurers in the world. We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Life & Health subsidiary in Sydney which plays a major part in the success of Hannover Re globally.
We are seeking a Senior IT Information Security Project Manager to join our team. The role will be a fixed term 1 year contract position reporting directly to our Head of Projects & Innovation.
About the role
As an IT Information Security Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring delivery of specified project, projects and/or initiatives in support of HLR Aus’ strategy. This includes,
- deploying expert project management methodology and tools; and
- following project governance processes
You will be supporting the business, business analyst/s and project team in analysis of business needs, stakeholder engagement, project delivery and issue, risk, resources, quality, budget management reporting and operational excellence for projects.
This role’s primary focus is supporting IT and IS projects including Information Security uplift / remediation activities, Readinow module implementation for BCP, DR and IS and transition to Axe managed service (SAAS) and other project activities as needed.
Your day may look a little like:
- Ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget
- Ensuring the project is clearly defined including
- project scope and objectives
- involvement of all relevant stakeholders to ensure an optimal, technically feasible solutions
- effective management of any changes
- Leading project planning and estimating sessions
- Ensuring documented RACI for core tasks / deliverables and appropriate task delegation
- Managing the relationship with, and expectations, from all stakeholders, including providing regular feedback in weekly/fortnightly/monthly discussions
- Ensuring resource availability and allocation
- Coordinating and managing internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
- Delegating project tasks based on team members’ / SMEs’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
- Managing changes to the project scope, schedule and costs, using appropriate verification techniques
- For projects that include technology solutions, providing project management from assessment to implementation and rollout
- Where relevant, developing, reviewing and/or finalising CPS 234 and ISO 27001 documentation in support of the priorities of the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Ensuring efficient testing of project deliverables
- Implementing initiatives with the IS calendar
- Managing implementation of business change resulting from the project and/or initiative
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation including detailed project plans, RAID (Risk, Assumption, Issue, Dependencies) log and status reports. Tracking and measuring performance and progress.
- Performing risk management and developing mitigation plans to minimise project risks
- Ensuring data governance and Information Security throughout project implementation and demonstrating adherence to the Data Governance Policy
- Managing expectations from stakeholders around solution delivery through regular feedback via weekly/fortnightly/monthly forum groups
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties/vendors
- Preparing documentation for presentation at relevant communication forums
- Conducting project implementation reviews and creating detailed reports for executive staff outlining lessons learned and improvement opportunities
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
- Identifying opportunities and continuing to improve ways of working that remove waste, duplication and or risk and improve team, customer and /or business outcomes
- Ensuring business process and documentation is kept up to date
You will need to have:
- Experience in project management with a proven track record of delivering results
- Excellent project management skills and ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams
- Formal qualifications in Project Management - PRINCE2 or PMBOK or related qualification is preferred
- Experience implementing vendor based software and SAAS solutions very highly regarded
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Working knowledge of CPS234 preferred
