About the role
In this role, you will report to the Head of Member Platforms and be an integral part of a cohesive leadership team who oversee the design, development, delivery and support activities of our member-centric Core Banking Platforms. Your success will be in your ability to deliver and support a suite of Core Banking platforms that are usable, stable, secure, compliant and aligned to business objectives and our member’s satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert technical leadership and guidance to ensure successful execution of projects and initiatives
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, delivery leads and analysts
- Driving the adoption of agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
- Providing mentorship and encouraging knowledge sharing within the team.
- Identifying performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement within member platforms
- Effectively communicating technical concepts, project updates, and platform enhancements to stakeholders
- Proactively managing external parties in supporting of the platforms and applications
- Maintaining risk management processes to continuously exceed compliance requirements.
About you
To be considered, your work history demonstrates solid and effective leadership capabilities where you have successfully guided a high-performing technical team through a significant period of change. You are passionate about fostering an environment of engagement, performance excellence and collaboration both within your team and across wide groups of internal and external stakeholders.
Your work history will also demonstrate:
- Strong work history in banking, financial services or consulting.
- Expert-level knowledge of Core Banking in retail banking.
- Working knowledge of the credit assessment process, loan processing and payments / cards.
- Experience in agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience leading a team dispersed geographically including vendors and change delivery.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non-technical.
- Proven analytical and problem analysis and solutioning experience.
Although not essential, any experience in data migrations to Core Banking platforms and/or used Fiserv Signature Platform will be considered favourably.
