SalaryThe Department of Education at Swinburne University of Technology is a crucial discipline area within the School of Social Sciences, Media, Film and Education. We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer who will lead and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, with a specific focus on Early Childhood Education. This includes accreditation activities associated with external agencies and organisations. Teaching will involve a range of blended and hybrid delivery methods, including lectures, tutorials and seminars. As a Senior Lecturer, you will contribute to the research profile of the department by participating in and leading a defined field of research within Education and will be actively involved in the supervision of postgraduate research students.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching with a focus on Early Childhood Education, including a record of leading and directing a course in teacher education.
- High-level competence in leading innovative teaching and curriculum development in on-campus, flexible, blended, and online modes of delivery.
- Excellent understanding of the trends and issues in teacher education and professional practice.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to capacity building and mentoring of colleagues.
- A good track record of high-quality research outputs, including an emerging record of funding.
- An emerging record of HDR supervision.
- A Bachelor or Postgraduate Teaching Degree in Education
- A Doctoral Qualification relevant to the field of Education
- Teacher registration or demonstrated ability to become registered
