The Discipline of Finance in the University of Sydney Business School is recruiting talented and ambitious individuals to join our dynamic and diverse team. Your key responsibilities will be to:

About you

We are looking for strong mid-career researchers with genuine ambition for high-quality research, excellence in teaching, a commitment to service, and a desire for involvement in team-based initiatives. The Discipline is seeking to make an appointment at aSenior Lecturer level for academics who demonstrate:

  • an active research program with demonstrable high-quality outputs and significant potential for publishing in top-tier journals in Finance and related fields
  • ambition to contribute to and lead external funding applications and projects, including collaboration with industry, government and third sector organisations
  • evidence of high-quality teaching in Finance at undergraduate or postgraduate level
  • interest in, experience of, or potential for teaching in large, interdisciplinary teams
  • demonstrated capacity to stimulate, actively engage and educate a range of audiences using a range of media.


Successful candidates will have completed a PhD in Finance or a closely related field.
