Role Overview:Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role entails serving as a
Senior Legal Counsel primarily focused on
Financial Services laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Drafting and reviewing legal documents including product disclosures, financial guides, and policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Crafting and evaluating marketing materials and customer-facing content for financial products.
- Negotiating and drafting various legal agreements such as supplier contracts and confidentiality agreements.
- Providing expert legal advice to the Product and Diversified Business Division.
- Collaborating with Legal and Compliance Leadership on daily tasks and initiatives.
- Keeping abreast of legislative changes and implementing compliance measures.
- Conducting tailored legal training sessions to enhance divisional knowledge.
- Staying updated on emerging legal trends and their implications.
Candidate Requirements:- Proficiency in Financial Services Law.
- Insurance product knowledge highly regarded.
- Law degree from a recognised institution with 7+ years of post-admission experience.
- Top tier firm training, minimum 5 years in private practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Versatility to operate strategically and operationally.
