We are excited to begin the search for a senior Workplace Relations lawyer, working with a fantastic mid-tier law firm to help them find a great match. This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner to come in and build up a practice of their own, with a great mix of front and back end matters to keep them busy. This role can be based in any of the firm’s offices in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

The Skills
If the values feel like a fit, skills-wise we are searching for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel with 7 to 10 years post admission experience in a Workplace Relations/ employment law practice. You’ll be:
- Overseeing and managing a portfolio of Workplace Relations and employment files with assistance from junior lawyers and support staff, and guidance from senior Partners.
- Providing complex advice relating to disciplinary, performance and dismissal cases, management of workplace investigations and contract reviews and negotiations.
- Preparing legal correspondence and documents including pleadings, submissions, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
- Representing clients in State and Federal courts, commissions and tribunals.
- Working collaboratively with clients, partners, and other team members to develop and implement effective strategies to resolve matters.
- Assisting in the development, training and mentoring of junior team members.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships and providing exceptional client service.
