Be at the core of this high performing, in-house legal team and facilitate the commercial objectives of the business and provide a broad range of legal advice. This role will report to General Counsel and provide support to the Executive Team.
Our Client offers a diverse, inclusive and collaborative working environment. This is a broad commercial role with a transactional element. Your key responsibilities will include:
Core Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate and draft commercial contracts
- Participate in merger, acquisition, joint venture and post-transaction business integration
- Identify liability exposures and assist in providing solutions to reduce the risk to the business
- Analyse and advise on new and/or changing laws and regulations
- Instructing and liaising with external lawyers
- Complete other tasks as assigned by General Counsel
The Successful Candidate
- You will be approx. 8 years’ PQE with experience in commercial law, M&A and corporate advisory
- Ideally, you will have gained experience in a major law firm and/or a leading in-house team
- Experience working in real estate or construction would be highly regarded
- Strong technical legal skills and commercial drafting experience are both essential
- A proactive, positive, and energetic approach with a commitment to provide excellent service and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced and commercially minded environment and has the ability to handle a diverse mix of work and manage competing priorities
