Your new role
As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal expertise and support to the company's operations. You will be responsible for managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards, and overseeing commercial, corporate, and compliance-related transactions. Your ability to navigate complex legal and compliance issues and provide strategic advice will be essential to the company's continued success.
- Provide legal advice on commercial, corporate, and compliance-related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Mitigate legal risks across various aspects of the business, with a strong focus on compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external Legal Counsel as needed.
To excel in this role, you will need a robust legal background with significant experience in commercial, corporate, and compliance transactions. Your strong analytical skills and ability to manage risk effectively will be critical. Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of compliance issues affecting the sector.
- Minimum of 5 years post-Admission PAE.
- Extensive experience in commercial and corporate transactions.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles and compliance regulations.
- Proven ability in risk mitigation with a compliance-focused approach.
- Experience in the construction sector preferred, but not essential.
- Background in a top-tier or reputable mid-tier law firm, with a strong emphasis on corporate compliance.
