Reporting to the Team Lead - Financial Reporting & Controls, the Senior Management Accountant/FP&A is expected to be a proactive and inquisitive self-starter, demonstrating passion for process improvement.
This role is a vital member of the Finance team, dedicated to ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information, on a timely basis, to support the business and our business partners in effective decision making, while maintaining our license to operate through compliance to all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with the company's financial management framework
- Providing leadership and guidance to all employees concerning procedures and deadlines for all finance related activities
- Leading the month end management reporting process
- Reviewing monthly cost file and presentation material
- Coordinating the update of the company's financial model for actual results, budget and forecasts
- Maintain and update the KMS Inventory model
- Lead the ongoing development and update of annual consolidated budgets
- Lead the development and update of consolidated Qtly forecasts
- Support the Management Accountant in establishing / implementing / maintaining business cost control processes
- In conjunction with the Management Accountant lead monthly business cost review conversations with Department Managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of cost data
- Assist in the development and implementation of business systems, procedures, and report formats to improve the process, quality and timeliness of the financial reports.
Qualifications
- CPA/CA qualification
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar role in a professional environment.
- Experience within the energy sector is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, with high standard of excel knowledge and sound modelling techniques
- Proficiency in finance SAP ERP systems in particular (CO & PP functions)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate a planned approach to work including effectively managing time, punctuality and timelines
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously
