The team
As the Senior Manager, Agribusiness Strategy you will be an integral part of the growing Business Banking, Agribusiness sector. The primary objective is to support the team through data driven analysis, portfolio deep dives, industry research and insight provision.
The Role
Reporting into the National Head of Agribusiness Lending and working amongst the Business Lending team more broadly, this role is a chance to combine a passion and understanding of key strategic business insights and the Agribusiness Sector in Australia.
- Portfolio & sector research, analysis & generation of insights
- Agriculture strategy development
- Execution of strategic initiatives
- Trend analysis & Offer Design implications
- Support of regulatory reporting requirements with the provision of subject matter expert advice
- Support to wider Business Banking initiatives with the provision of subject matter expert advice
- Stakeholder management and influencing across Westpac, including Credit Risk, Sales Team and Senior Management
About you
You will bring to the role significant experience in strategy with a preference for either group strategy or a consulting background with exposure to financial services and banking. Ideally you will have had exposure to agribusiness within these roles or a strong understanding of agribusiness in Australia. Strong excel skills including modelling and analysis will be essential to success in the role. You will bring a curious mindset and take pride in the work being done. Stakeholder management will be second nature to you’ll bring the confidence to establish key relationships with senior executives to present your findings and strategic insights. This role is the chance to combine a passion and curiosity for business banking strategy and one of Australia’s oldest industries, our agricultural sector.
