This inspirational organisation support children with illnesses, injuries and conditions across Queensland and the scope and impact of their work runs far and deep.
They raise vital funds that go towards life changing research, lifesaving medical equipment and key improvements to clinical care. They are working to provide children and families with faster diagnoses, better treatments and ultimately cures for some of the most devastating childhood illnesses and injuries.
The impact you will have in this role
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Fundraising and supported by an agency partnership, this is an exciting opportunity for a passionate fundraiser to lead the transformation of the Individual Giving program and mass campaigns.
Key responsibilities include strategic oversight and the success of the Individual Giving program, mass events and peer to peer fundraising campaigns, data management, and donor support services.
We are searching for a strategic fundraiser, a genuine collaborator, and a do-er who will lead and grow a talented team, build strong relationships across agency partnerships, and who will work closely with all internal stakeholders on the journey to lead the IG and mass campaign programs through continued transformation, innovation, and success.
You will be supported by an experienced and inspiring leadership team who are committed to the long-term growth of the fundraising program that directly impacts the lives of children.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a fundraising strategy for the mass marketing portfolio which includes Individual Giving, peer to peer campaigns, data and donor services
- Oversight of a multi-year, multi-channel fundraising strategy across both acquisition and retention
- Manage the new product development lifecycle across mass fundraising products, improving digital fundraising tactics and capabilities
- Work with agency partners to optimise existing and develop new digital peer to peer products and lead on the end-to-end management and delivery of campaigns
- Optimise the use of a range of digital channels (email, web, socials, mobile, online content monetization etc) to acquire, inspire and retain donors across the peer to peer program
- Manage the ongoing development of the multi-channel Individual Giving program, with a focus on mail, email and digital acquisition and retention strategies
- Build inspiring and engaging donor journeys, recruitment, retention and communication plans across the programs
- Lead on processes for donor insights that inform a personalised approach to a range of audiences
- Bring a data led approach to all mass fundraising activity and manage the data team and their contribution to the broader organisation
- Budget and reporting responsibility across mass fundraising channels
- Manage and grow the teams across Individual Giving, peer to peer, donor services and data and bring an authentic, passionate, supportive and inspiring leadership style to the role
- Experience building strategies across a range of mass fundraising programs including Individual Giving and peer to peer campaigns
- High levels of experience within digital campaign development and management and a passion for taking a digital first approach to mass fundraising
- Extensive digital strategic capabilities with experience in utilising web analytical tools, SEO, SEM and display
- A background in developing engaging and inspiring donor journeys and recruitment, retention and stewardship plans for a range of mass audiences
- Acquisition and retention experience with a background in developing multi-channel strategies for mass audiences
- Product development experience with an innovative, inspired and ambitious approach to campaign development
- A data driven fundraiser who analyses and applies data insights to improve results
- Experience in budget management with the ability to report back on performance across a broad fundraising portfolio
- An enthusiastic, dynamic, nurturing and goal driven approach to people management with the ability to inspire and engage a team across a range of fundraising programs
- Target driven with a passion for innovation and a trial and test mentality
