Human Resources (HR) are the custodians of the employee experience. We support each of CommBank’s business units from recruiting for their talented teams, through to leadership development and training, internal mobility, advising on employee relations, and delivering remuneration and benefits programs. This role sits within the Organisational Development Chapter Area and will be part of a Chapter with a focus on managing and evolving the Group’s Job Architecture, enabling the Group’s skills-led career strategy, delivering evidenced-based capability and assessment initiatives, and strategic workforce planning.

Do work that matters:
The Senior Manager Capability will report to the Chapter Lead – Consulting Skills and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure CBA's Job Architecture is continuously maintained, uplifted and effectively applied across the people lifecycle in service of better people and customer outcomes.
- Manage and continuously improve the operations, governance and efficiency of the Job Architecture through effective oversight, governance and controls to identify and mitigate risks.
- Help craft a plan to evolve our approach to how we define our jobs and skills architecture across CBA and take more of a skills-led lens.
- Provide industry-leading, technology-enabled, skills-led solutions for the end-to-end people experience including skills frameworks, job profile redesigns, and skills assessment.
- Consult on the capability and learning approach for the organisation, reflecting an understanding of the internal strategy and external learning and capability market trends across technical, behavioural and leadership capability areas.
- Build cross-business relationships to facilitate and influence decision-making, focus on innovation and maturing capability culture, manage risks and drive sustainable performance outcomes.
- Understand your role and team’s risk and controls profile, responsibilities and apply non-financial risk management practices.
- Designing and embedding capability frameworks, the future of work, and job design,
- Competency assessment strategy and deployment,
- Advanced problem solving, innovative thinking, and influencing,
- Using technology platforms to drive skills-led people experiences.
