Job Description:About the roleWe are currently seeking an experienced Manager or
Senior Manager to join our Real Estate
Capital Transactions team based in either Sydney or Brisbane.This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about real estate investments, who enjoys dynamic and impactful work. The successful applicants will be presented with the opportunity to influence significant investment decisions and contribute to the success of QIC's portfolio.The key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- End to end management of real estate transactions including providing strategic advice, origination, deal underwriting and due diligence, market research, negotiation and deal execution of both acquisitions and divestments.
- Detailed investment underwriting of institutional grade retail, office, and industrial investments.
- Engagement with Funds Management team to understand current investment strategies across QIC.
- Active market participation to originate potential acquisition opportunities that align with QIC fund and client mandates.
- Collaborating with team Analysts to complete detailed financial analysis and underwriting of target investment opportunities.
- Maintenance of pipeline report and presentation of investment opportunities to QIC funds and mandate clients.
- Contribute to building a strong and collaborative team culture by training and mentoring team Analysts while adhering to all governance, compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Provide the QIC Real Estate business with market knowledge and intelligence.
About youYou will have significant, demonstrated exposure and experience transacting institutional grade real estate assets across core sectors in the Australian market.
You will also have:- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance or Property Economics.
- Ability to complete financial, market and legal due diligence.
- Proven experience in retail property transactions.
- Capability to work with Investment and Funds Management teams to implement successful acquisition and divestment strategies for a broad range of assets.
- Strong relationship and communication skills with an ability to develop enduring relationships with agents, owners, and consultants.
- Strong understanding of property market sectors, property valuation techniques and property analysis/returns measures.
- Advanced Forbury modelling and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Identify critical issues and organise, develop, and implement considered and timely reporting and recommendations.
- The ability to successfully communicate with both internal and external colleagues through appropriate written and verbal skills.
- Able to successfully integrate into a dynamic property investment team and provide positive input to investment performance and procedural issues.
