About this role:
Our Regional Project Delivery team is seeking a Senior Manager Commercial and Contracts to join us on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you will lead the management and strategic direction of the commercial, contracts, and design team, overseeing the development and ongoing management of industry best practices in these areas.
This role is based in Brisbane CBD, with hybrid work from home (WFH) / office arrangements available to support the balance between work and personal commitments. Regular travel to various sites throughout Queensland is a requirement of this role.
You can expect some of the responsibilities of this role to include:
- Provide strategic leadership, guidance and direction to the Commercial and Contracts team
- Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across Queensland Rail, DTMR, Delivery Authorities, and related agencies
- Serve as the point of escalation and resolution for contractual disputes across the Regional Contractual, Commercial, and Design landscape
- Ensure the team meet KPIs whilst managing a range of relationship and key strategic objectives
- Provide timely direction to the team to ensure the delivery of a range of complex contracts
What you will bring to the role:
- High level of skill in the management and administration of contracts including services, Construct Only and Design & Construct based contracts
- Extensive knowledge and skill in Civil Construction
- High level of skill in meeting statutory, regulatory and policy obligations
- High level of skill in managing high-performing commercial teams and developing complex agreements
- High level of strategic, analytical, collaborative and influencing skills
