As a senior member of the Group Compliance team, you will provide expert guidance and act as a trusted adviser to Iress’ core business units (Wealth, Superannuation, and Trading & Market Data) and the enterprise as a whole, to ensure that the organisation operates in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:
Perform key activities related to the Group’s Compliance Framework, delivering best practice advice, guidance and support to business units and functions across Iress
Help maintain Iress’ Group policy library and core obligations register, in addition to developing tools and training to help the business understand and meet its compliance obligations
Oversee incident / breach assessment processes and associated reporting requirements for our regulated businesses
Review, update and manage Iress’ Responsible Managers (RMs) and other Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) requirements for and on behalf of our licensed entities, including reviewing registers and reporting on incidents and complaints, and monitoring compliance with regulatory reporting obligations.
Assist with the preparation of periodic reports to the Iress Leadership Team, Executive Risk Committee and the Board (as required) on material compliance matters
Advise Iress’ business units on key compliance matters and regulatory developments, including any regulatory change that may impact the business
Provide support and guidance to Iress’ business units on the remediation of compliance issues and incidents, and in responding to audit reports / findings
What you will bring:
Prior experience in compliance and/or risk roles, ideally within banking or financial services, or within a professional services advisory capacity
Strong technical knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in delivering, compliance programs, frameworks and policies (including the AFSL regime)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to cultivate positive, trusted and enduring relationships at all levels and across complex businesses
Team player and cultural change agent, with strong collaboration, influencing and project management skills
Previous experience in delivering compliance-related uplift and / or continuous improvement initiatives
