About You
Reporting to the Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor (ADVC), Learning, Teaching & Quality, you will be responsible for the overall leadership of all program and course design, development and digital production in the .
Leading the learning and teaching-related aspects of digital transformation, you will work closely with the ADVC, Learning, Teaching and Quality (LT&Q) and other senior leaders in the portfolio. Responsible for the provision of strategic and academic leadership and management of the College learning and teaching relating to program and digital development for programs and courses, consistent with the University and College strategic plans and objectives.
Championing the integration of advanced digital/educational tools, you will have responsibility for two teams in the College LT&Q portfolio, the Learning Design team and the Digital Development team, to support course enhancement and program transformation initiatives that align with University and College priorities.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Acknowledged expertise in program and course design, development and production, including a strong focus on innovative digital assessment strategies and a commitment to digital accessibility and inclusivity, with an emphasis on pedagogical thinking, flexible learning approaches, and innovative digital technologies.
Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills, enhanced by proficiency in navigating and leading the digital transformation of educational teams and products.
Demonstrated leadership in managing high-performance teams, fostering an agile mindset, and steering the performance of staff within a digitally evolving landscape.
Demonstrated experience in effectively leading complex education-based projects and programs with significant change impact on organisational operational excellence, integrating research findings in digital pedagogy to enhance learning outcomes.
Experience in the creation and implementation of effective blended Learning Design frameworks, utilising digital tools to create dynamic learning experiences.
Demonstrated experience with implementing quality Learning Design processes to enhance the student experience.
Demonstrated ability to draw upon new and emerging technologies and practice for the effective application of innovative use of tools and learning and assessment pedagogies.
Substantial knowledge and experience design and the application of innovative strategies for products for diverse learner cohorts.
Demonstrated outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work as part of a diverse team and liaise and negotiate with a range of people including senior and executive leaders to achieve agreed outcomes and reconcile different views.
Strong leadership skills and experience in initiating, leading and managing academic and professional teams and projects fostering a collegiate environment to deliver strategic objectives.

Program and Digital Development
Future-focused, discipline-specific, program and course design and development (new and refresh); digital and blended learning; Learning Design:
Using student-centred principles and practices to create engaging, relevant and informative learning journeys. UX approach.
UX, SX and digital development in courses and programs.
Purposeful use of educational technology.
Program and course design and development including English Language support.
Curriculum, assessment and pedagogy consultation and evaluation.
Design and embed micro-credentials in the curriculum.
Lead blended learning implementation in the College.
