Your new role
The purpose of the role is to sell the companies products and services and meet the sales targets by proactively seeking new business potential, developing and maintaining existing customer relations, and negotiating and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing customer accounts which include end-customers, System Integrators and DistributorsPlan and implement sales in line with the company strategy with your manager.Promote the product offering by visiting existing and potential new customers, participating in exhibitions and conferences, organizing customer seminars etc. to generate sales.Seek new customers and leads, turning them into sales opportunities, and closing the deals successfully.Prepare quotations and tenders in accordance with the sales process.Maintaining customer data on the ERP and Salesforce system.Ensure profitable sales by achieving the set gross margins.Participate in action planning, forecast own sales performance, and develop own sales funnel.Be the subject matter expert on customer needs, challenges, and market conditions.Translate voice of customer requirements and feedback to relevant internal business functions.What you'll need to succeed Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.Self-motivated, flexible and well-organized team player with a positive attitude towards customer service.Passion to win and persistence to close deals.Excellent time management abilities.Willingness and ability to grow competences by learning industry standards relevant to business, as well as market specific issues (culture, customers, competitors).Willingness and ability to continually grow own competences by deepening his/her knowledge on our offering (products, systems, services), as well as deepening his/her commercial and legal competences.Fluency in English language is a must.Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power-Point, Outlook) is required.Bachelor’s Degree in business or relevant technical qualification in electronic/electrical.Previous technical sales experience and familiarity with government and defence procurement frameworksWhat you'll get in return Competitive base salary and superannuationAnnual bonus (25%)Ongoing career progression opportunitiesWork life balance (hybrid work arrangements are available)Support from a highly experienced management team who are committed to your ongoing successWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or contact Gerard Murphy on (03) 8346 7*** or *************@hays.com.au.
