A bit about your role

The Senior Manager Media and External Communications (Consumer) role at nbn is multifaceted, with a focus on developing, implementing and effectively managing and guiding the company's media relations and External Communications strategies and collateral.

Reporting into the Executive Manager Media and External Communications (Customer Focus), this role is critical in protecting and enhancing nbn’s reputation, leveraging Media and commentator relationships to influence and inform key stakeholders (customers, industry, community, government), driving customer retention and acquisition, managing issues and supporting the organisation’s priorities.

A bit about you

If this sounds like the role for you then, it is likely you will have significant experience in working in media relations, journalism or External Communications. Ideally, you’ll be well versed in developing national public relations campaigns with regional implementation plans.

You have exceptional proactive media relations expertise with the ability to develop stories with journalists from idea to placement of coverage.  You are experienced in developing content across stakeholder, employee, owned, earned and paid channels.

You are an exceptional communicator with stakeholders at all levels, with the natural ability to communicate and influence with impact, conveying detailed concepts and information clearly and effectively. You possess a creative, adaptable nature with the talent to thrive in an atmosphere of change.
