Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Manager – Money Laundering Reporting Officer looking to:

Leading a team of 5, you will be supporting other departments across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. This is a multifaceted role where you can expect to be involved in building strong and lasting relationships with regulatory bodies, stay abreast of new regulations, and leading a high performing team to ensure the organizations needs are met.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading, supporting, and developing the AML/KYC Compliance team
- Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and communicating such changes and its impact across the business
- Providing assistance to the Head of Legal & Compliance in drafting, updating and implementing various compliance policies and frameworks;
- Collaborating with Group Compliance Officer, Regulators, AUSTRAC and Legal Department
- Advising and engaging the business on AML/KYC Compliance and conduct-related matters.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of various policies, programs, procedures, and controls reflecting the business' regulatory obligations and to detect financial crime
- Reviewing suspicious transactions and post trade monitoring alerts and provide advice and guidance to the business
- Developing, managing and delivering FinClear’s AML/CTF risk awareness training
- Completing yearly AUSTRAC compliance report
- Overseeing the drafting and lodgement of Suspicious Matter Reports
- Providing regular compliance reports to senior management, risk and compliance committees
- Assisting with external regulatory investigations and Maintaining various regulatory registers;
- Partnering with management and other stakeholders to drive the implementation and development of FinClear's:
- AML/CTF Program and the underlying AML/CTF Procedures
- KYC Program (including risk assessment) over financial intermediaries
- KYC Audit Program of financial intermediaries
- KYC refresh
- Sanctions and PEP screening
- Transaction monitoring Program
- ECDD Program
Required:
- Financial Services Experience
- Successful working history partnering with AUSTRAC
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and motivating teams in compliance and AML/CTF
- Thorough understanding of Anti-Money Laundering legislation and regulations as it relates in the Australian financial services industry
- Experienced in the design and implementation of Key Controls across an operational environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders, all levels of employees and senior leadership.
- Proven ability to problem solves complex issues, identify risks and impacts as well as workable solutions and execute corrective action
- Demonstrated ability to combine expert knowledge of relevant regulations with strong commercial sensibilities.
- Having worked in a Stock Broking environment
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment
