- is a recognised clinical expert in Occupational Therapy and is responsible for contributing to the attainment of operational goals of the Occupational Therapy strategic and operational site-based line management, cross site line management, key input into strategic and operational planning within the Occupational Therapy department and Allied Health Directorate.
- Works in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure best evidence underpins service delivery and development, facilitates human resource processes, ensures compliance with Clinical Supervision Policy, and credentialing requirements, leads relevant quality improvement initiatives, and facilitates access to relevant professional training and clinical support activities.
- Contributes to strategic and operational plans for Occupational Therapy and has a lead role in ensuring attainment of operational goals.
- Will initiate research, service quality and workforce development initiatives and improvements within Occupational Therapy consistent with National and State health reforms, working in partnership with senior management teams and key stakeholders.
- Works in collaboration with the Director and Executive Director of Allied Health and other Occupational Therapy principal leads on inter-professional initiatives and convenes or sits on internal and external committees.
- Responsible for the clinical supervision of Occupational Therapy staff, support of Occupational Therapy Manager, and other designated staff within Occupational Therapy across the Allied Health Directorate with oversight from the Director, Occupational Therapy CALHN.
- Appropriate degree or equivalent which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (OTBA).
