About The Role
This role involves managing and leading the external reporting team to ensure accurate financial reports that comply with statutory requirements. It includes explaining financial issues to the ATO and supporting monthly management reporting. Additionally, the position oversees budgeting and forecasting processes and plays a critical role in meeting regulatory financial requirements.
- Financial Reporting Strategy: Lead and develop the strategic direction for comprehensive financial reporting, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory standards.
- Reporting Analysis & Interpretation: Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, providing actionable insights into market trends, performance metrics, and critical financial indicators.
- Process Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and enhance reporting processes to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, investment, and senior management teams to align reporting objectives and communicate financial insights effectively.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure rigorous quality assurance measures to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Control & Governance: Implement robust financial controls and governance frameworks to mitigate risks and maintain the highest standards of financial reporting integrity.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of reporting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Solid understanding of AASB and IFRS
- CA/CPA qualification is a must.
- Workday and Oracle experience is a bonus.
- Stakeholder engagement skills is a must.
- Technical accounting knowledge is a must.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing reporting teams, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering high-quality financial reports.
