Rail Freight Admin Clerk | Larapinta

  • A newly created onsite permanent full-time role to support with Rail rollout project
  • Monday to Friday, business hours, with great exposure to stakeholders
  • Critical roles enabling the rail-serviced store delivery network to Far North QLD

What you'll do

In this data- and computer-heavy role, you will perform daily freight office activities concerning freight invoice reconciliation, ad hoc job scope, and financial and admin reporting. Ensure Freight Office processes are deployed and followed, and that accurate reporting and management of 3PL accounts occur in a timely manner.

  • Manage day-to-day Freight invoice reconciliations, including ad hoc scope in line with the Freight Office task processes and guidelines
  • Receive, reconcile and process Ancillary invoices for Transport Operations
  • Manage day-to-day systems uploads and TPS workflows
  • Generate freight cost, payment and other regular admin reports as set by the Team Leader, including ad hoc reporting as required
  • Assist State Transport manager and Rail Operations manager with reporting and data extraction for analysis
  • Manage ULD transfers associated with QLD Direct Rail Operations

What you'll bring

Reporting to the Transport ULD Team Leader, the person suitable for this role will be at home with data analysis and computer work, as well as:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
  • General business administration and freight office experience
  • General knowledge and understanding of Transport operation functions
  • High level of attention to detail, strong organisational & computer skills and excellent time management
  • Exposure to Primary Connect/Woolworths operations, pallet management & FMCG/Distributions would be favourably considered
