What You Will Be Doing
The Mental Health Senior Nurse is responsible for supporting strategic professional and clinical nursing leadership. Along with the support of learning and development and promoting and providing governance on the provision of professional clinical supervision, for our Mental Health nursing workforce. The Mental Health Senior Nurse will support in the implementation of State-wide clinical frameworks and Peninsula Health clinical practice guidelines to ensure the effective delivery of nursing quality clinical services. The incumbent may support and advise junior clinicians in the case management of complex clients but will not carry a clinical case load.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Relevant professional qualification in Nursing including a Post Graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing or Equivalent.
• Current annual registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Commitment to evidence based treatment for people with a mental illness and extensive experience in a senior leadership nursing role.
• Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and subsequent Mental Health Acts and amendments.
• Demonstrated human resource management experience.
• A commitment to ongoing professional training and development.

*Please refer to salary circular for VICTORIAN PUBLIC MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
