We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Mine Accountant to join our finance team.
About the Role:
You will be supporting the SSE, Finance Superintendent, Operations and Maintenance Teams by providing key analysis and reporting for the execution of a range of initiatives to improve profitability of the organisation.
Key responsibilities will be (but not limited to):
• Monitoring performance and analysis of variances
• Management accounting and consolidated reporting for multiple departments
• Opex and Capex budgeting, reforecast and reporting
• Weekly reporting of KPIs
• Assisting with audit completion
• Adhoc projects for process improvement
• Responsible for continual assessment and improvement of direct spending, balance sheet risk/opportunity and profitability
• Facilitation of monthly cost review meetings
• Review capital applications and out of budget operational requests
• EOM: process journals, stock revaluation and monthly management reports

About you:
Ideally you will come to us with previous experience preferably in the resources or heavy industry. You will also possess the following skills, qualifications and attributes:
- Tertiary qualification in either business management or accounting
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Working towards your CPA/CA
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- You will be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
