About the role
The Senior Financial Accountant is overall responsible for the monthly financial reporting, accounting and reconciliations relating to General Ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable and any other accounts department functions as and when required for all Redpath Australia entities. This position will also assist the Financial Controller in the compliance and other ad hoc tasks as and when required. This position is an integral part of the team and requires the commitment to take full responsibility of accounting and reporting functions.
- Daily review and posting of journal entries.
- Monthly subledger reconciliations relating to AP, AR, Fixed assets and Inventory.
- Monthly review of all Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
- Financing of equipments and forecasting of facility limit balance.
- Review of supplier rebates.
- Preparing & review of monthly and quarterly financial reports including variance analysis for head office reporting with the help of Financial Accountant.
- Assisting with ESG reporting.
- Assisting with Tax effect accounting, Income tax returns, FBT and similar tax compliances.
- Managing the monthly and annual closing processes in the system.
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts for audit.
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards and GRASP.
- Manage the audit process by providing all requested information on timely basis.
- Training and mentoring Financial Accountant, Assistant Accountant and Finance Officers for continuous process improvement and talent growth.
We are looking for
- CA/CPA or equivalent.
- 3-5 years experience in similar role with knowledge of consolidated company accounting & reporting in large organisations including exposure to AASB 3, 15 and 16.
- Some exposure to group management reporting would be preferable.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to maintain and create new models.
- Experience with major ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards, Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, Essbase and LeaseBox.
