Are you an experienced Mine Geologist looking for a challenging role in the heart of the mining industry? We are currently seeking a Senior Mine Geologist to join our clients dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inpit Geological Grade Control: Execute effective inpit geological grade control strategies to optimise production efficiency and quality.
- Inpit Interaction and Advice: Collaborate closely with production personnel, providing valuable geological insights and recommendations for enhanced operational outcomes.
- Geological Model Interrogation: Utilise your expertise to examine and refine geological models, ensuring accuracy and reliability in decision-making processes.
- Short-Term Geological Modelling: Contribute to short-term geological modeling activities, supporting operational planning and execution.
- Reconciliation: Implement reconciliation processes to ensure consistency between geological models and actual mining results.
- Coal Tracking: Oversee coal tracking processes, including monitoring quality, volumes, yields, and other relevant metrics.
- Logistics and Stockpile Control: Manage logistics related to geological activities and maintain control over stockpiles, optimising resource utilisation.
- Highwall Mapping: Conduct highwall mapping to enhance geological understanding and contribute to overall mine safety.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field.
- Proven experience in a Mine Geologist role, with a focus on coal mining.
- Familiarity with Vulcan Software is preferable, but not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Work Environment:
The position is based onsite, with a 9-day fortnight roster. FIFO arrangements are available, and accommodation is provided at the camp.
