Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mining Surveyor to join the team. This position provides leadership to the Surveying Team and will play a pivotal role as our client accelerates their lithium operations.
As an effective communicator with both strategic and hands-on skills, you will be overseeing the preparation and maintenance of all mine surveying plans, managing the survey control data base for operations, engage and work closely with the technical team and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Appointed as the site Authorized Surveyor
- Continually work on identifying process improvements and working through solutions
- Lead process implementation and change within the survey team
- Conduct open pit mine surveying
- Review mining plans prior to being issued.
- Participate in training as required to build capability within the Mine Surveying team
- Provide set-outs, pick-ups and monitoring
- Survey compliance to design utilizing both an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and Leica GPS equipment
- Survey and calculate volumes as requested.
- Measuring total volumes mined, stockpiled and produced
- Measuring quantities of blasted material.
- End of month surveys, volumes, reconciliations and reporting
- Assist the mining team to maintain accurate plans for the mine site and associated infrastructure.
- Assist the mining team with spatial data inputs for the Daily, weekly and month end reporting as well as dig and D&B plans
- Set out of control points, pit and stockpile designs, drill patterns, ore markouts, and no dig lines.
- Pick up drill holes collars, blast pattern outlines, blast heave, misfires, waste dumps, ROM stockpiles, process plant stockpiles, as built final pit wall toes and berms.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- 5+ year’s experience in Open-Cut Mine operations
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying (Diploma or higher) in Mining and Engineering Surveying
- WA Authorised Mine Surveyor’s Certificate (Grade 2 Authorization)
- Proficiency in Surpac Mining software, Microsoft Office, Trimble GPS, wall monitoring software
- Drone/UAV RePL - Remote Pilot License (desirable)
- C class driver’s licence (WA)
