About the role:
As the Senior Site Surveyor, you will implement, maintain and manage the underground mine surveying activities and oversee statutory compliance across site including providing functional guidance to the open pit survey team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, and certify mine plans as required by the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act (1999) and Regulations (2001)
- Conduct and ensure underground and open pit survey work is completed, including, but not limited to:
- Survey mark-up of:
- Planned development - Includes preparing and issuing Development Memos to the Mining Department.
- Planned drilling - Includes calculating and issuing collar offsets to the Mining Department
- Diamond Drill Collars and directions
- Development and Geology Mapping pickups
- Stope void survey (CMS)
- check surveys as the mine development advances
- Calculation of End of Month Volumes and Advance
- Void Officer Role - Ensure the Remnant mining and Void Management Plan is followed
- Conduct surface surveys as required, including but not limited to:
- Stockpile and dump pickups
- Surface excavation pickups
- Surface prism monitoring
- Provide the Underground Mining team with accurate information to prepare the weekly and monthly plan in a timely manner
- Actively participate with the underground mining team to develop daily and weekly production plans and ensure that these plans are implemented and completed.
About you:
- Diploma in Surveying
- Grade 1 Authorised Mine Surveyors Certificate
- Competency with at least one mine software package, preferably Surpac,
- Familiarity with Windows packages including Word, Outlook, Excel
- 2+ years Experience as an Authorised Statutory Surveyor
- 2+ years Open Pit Survey experience
- 3-5+ years Underground Survey experience
- Familiarity with Windows packages including Word, Outlook, Excel
- Current WA Manual Drivers Licence
- Understanding of relevant sections of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
