1. Play a key role in shaping the future of our music therapy program! Collaborate with our team to dream up and develop new, exciting music therapy programs. Let your imagination run wild as you think of ways to bring music and healing together in unique and impactful ways as part of our multidisciplinary practice. Conduct regular evaluations of current music therapy programs to assess their effectiveness and impact on clients. Collect and analyse data, gather feedback from clients and Talkers, and identify areas for improvement.

2. Champion the professional growth of our team! Organise and lead exciting training sessions, workshops, and seminars that highlight the latest advancements in music therapy and allied health. Your enthusiasm will be contagious as you share the joy of music therapy with our community. 

3. Be a guiding light for junior therapists, nurturing their growth and development with personalised mentorship and clinical supervision. You'll provide constructive feedback and support, helping them enhance their clinical skills and confidence. By fostering a collaborative team environment and leading by example, you'll empower junior therapists to take ownership of their professional development. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the future of music therapy, ensuring that each therapist feels supported, valued, and inspired to excel in their practice.

Your Talker Toolkit:

✓ Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in music therapy.

✓ Independent clinical skills to manage your caseload along with the your duties as a Senior Clinical Talker with excellence and seek support when needed.

✓ Passion for lifelong learning and a burning enthusiasm for family-centered practice.

✓ Enthusiasm for developing innovative services that challenge the prevailing medical model of disability.

✓ Passion for clinical governance and outstanding services for our community

✓ Supercharged team spirit, always ready to uplift and support your fellow Talkers.

✓ Ability to tackle diverse caseloads and adapt assessment methods to suit different needs.

✓ Dedication to uphold the registration requirements and adhere to the Code of Conduct set out by AMTA

✓ Tertiary qualification in Music Therapy from an accredited university.

✓ Current Registration under AMTA

✓ Time management, organisational, and computer skills that keep everything running smoothly.
